12 month well baby check up

I’m a little behind in posting this update, but we had a busy Saturday. The boys had their 12 month well baby check up on Friday. We heard all good news. The boys are healthy and growing well.
Andrew is 20 lbs 2 oz and 30 inches tall.
Parker is 20 lbs 4 oz and 30.25 inches tall.
Nicholas is 18 lbs 13 oz and 29 inches tall.
The boys stayed on their curve for weight but jumped up on height (no surprises there). As they expected the weight gain wasn’t huge because the boys have become much more mobile. Plus the week long stomach flu really hurt the weight gain. We were given the go ahead to feed them just about everything we eat as long as it’s cut up small and easy to chew.
Something I was very excited about is we can now transition to whole milk. I’ve been very luck to be able to keep up with the boys intake and they haven’t had formula since they came home from the hospital. I have been pumping exclusively so being able to introduce milk means I can reduce and eventually stop pumping and regain hours of my day back.
We are transitioning a few ounces at a time, so far the boys have been drinking their bottles without any problem. Once we get them on whole milk the next steps will be not their milk and switching to sippy and straw cups.
In theory Andrew and Parker and now big enough to switch to forward facing car seats, but the American Academy of Pediatrics recently changed their recommendation to leave kids rear facing until they are 2 years old. Our pediatrician is passing on the suggestion. Studies have show that it’s 5 times safer for a child to be rear facing than forward facing. We don’t know if the boys will fit rear facing until they are 2, but we don’t plan to turn them around until they no longer fit.
