Last Saturday was the annual neighborhood picnic at the park. We decided to make it the boys first official outing. So we loaded up the stroller and off we went.
Everyone was extremely nice. We had a lot of comments about how cool our stroller is and just how cute the boys are. The most common thing said though was "Oh the triplets, I heard about you" it seems we are quite the topic of discussion amongst our neighbors. I was very pleasantly surprised how well everyone was with the boys. No one tried to reach in and touch them or breath right in their faces. For the most part everyone would stand at the side swaying side-to-side to be able to see all three lined up in the stroller.
After making our way past the food tent and purchasing a couple pies to support the boy scouts we set the boys car seats on the lawn while we sat down to just sit (it was a long walk to the park). More people came over to say hello and to introduce themselves. We've lived in the neighborhood for about three and half years and really only know one of the families here. After Saturday we know quite a few more and I even remember some of their names.
After about 2 hours it was time to head home for feeding time. The boys had slept almost the entire time at the park and didn't start to fuss until we were about a block from the house. It was a nice time outside and meeting new people.
